Autumn Days Are Here Again

Fall is a great time to enjoy the outdoors, and many Texans enjoy meals prepared on their propane grills, host gatherings around propane-powered fire pits, or heat their hot tub with propane to relax this season. Fall is also a great season for updating your landscaping, so make sure all of your propane gas lines are marked before you dig. While you are at it, we recommend you make sure any maintenance concerns are addressed before the cold-weather season.
Your Friends at Sharp Propane would like to share a couple of tips to get your propane system ready for winter:
Propane tank maintenance and repairs are only to be done by a certified trained Propane Professional.
If you are planning to update any appliances, be sure that those you choose are specifically for use with propane (natural gas ranges, dryers, and other appliances require a conversion kit, best installed by a Propane Professional).
To ensure safe access to your propane tank, please keep trees/bushes that line your driveway trimmed, including low-hanging branches.
Make a visual check of your vents to make sure nothing is blocked. Clean around vent caps if you notice blockages or seals.
Never store combustible materials near appliances.
