Sharp Propane Professional Profile: Randy Rodriguez

For Randy Rodriguez, working at Sharp Propane is about making sure things are done the right way the first time. As a Sharp Service Technician in La Grange, Randy is just one of the many Propane Professionals who makes everything we do possible through the work he does every day. Randy’s job responsibilities vary from the typical to the unexpected. “As a service technician, I do everything from installation of tanks, site surveys, new build surveys, deliveries, everything related to propane service,” he said. But after working with Sharp for 15 years come this September, Randy has frequently gone above and beyond the call of duty to help customers who need it.

Because we view propane as a service industry, it means our technicians often work outside of the typical nine-to-five. Randy had one such experience this past New Year’s Day: “A customer from another company called on New Year’s Day, when their company refused to come out. Their family was freezing cold, so I came out and took care of them. Now they’re Complete Care customers with Sharp.”

Outside of his job, Randy enjoys spending time with his wife and their two-year-old son, as well as coaching youth football and basketball. “I like to be involved with the community, and I enjoy teaching kids.” But for Randy, a dedication to doing good work, whether on or off the job, comes first. “We don’t do it the easy way, or the cheap way, or the ‘get by’ way— we do it the right way.”
