A Breathtaking Place to Exhale

There’s an art to planning a family vacation. Heck, art doesn’t even do it justice – let’s try again. There’s a certain parental-zen-mastery needed to provide the perfect family getaway. You and your spouse want to relax, the kids want to “not go to bed… ever,” and you’re beginning to surrender to the idea that your long weekend of R&R won’t be short on compromise. Let us paint a picture for you.
Smiles greet you at the lobby with room keys. Your beautiful suite faces a sweeping view of Lake Travis. You take a moment to take it in and decide the pool is calling you. While the kids take turns jettisoning (safely) down the kids’ slide, you and your spouse swim up to the pool bar. An hour in, the grill and its wonderful aromas make your acquaintance, and you place a late lunch order with the pool server. After lunch, the youngsters head to the Kid Zone to “play bouncy house,” board games, and some putt-putt while you and yours reconnect over a long couples' massage. In the early evening, you pick up the kids before sitting down to a fresh Mediterranean-style meal, where your kids regale you with their adventures, and you recount your day of relaxation. You finish the evening with s’mores over an open fire pit and then tuck yourselves into bed, kids worn out, parents warmly welcomed. You don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, but you know for sure you won’t be heading home on empty.
